Mr. Haro brings over 17 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, leading sales operations for developmental, emerging, and high growth spirits brands and their respective organizations. A proud graduate of Texas Christian University, Scott began his career in restaurant and bar management, which led to a sales management position in the second largest wine and spirits distributor in California, Young’s Market Company. This experience gave Mr. Haro tremendous insights into the inner workings of the distributor at the highest levels.
He joined Altamar Brands, LLC, in 2007 where he had the privilege of launching influential brands including Tequila Ocho, Kubler Absinthe, and RIGHT Gin into the Southern California Market. Mr. Haro would be recruited in late 2010 to direct the launch and market roll out of Casa Dragones Tequila in the Western United States, where he would also take the lead on National On Premise and National Chain Retail Accounts. In 2012, Scott joined Leblon Cachaca as the U.S. Sales Director where he co-authored and implemented a renewed national sales strategy to ignite significant, profitable growth throughout all channels of business on the company’s core product. He would help direct the launch and national roll out of 3 line extensions – a vintage harvest, single estate cane distillate – Leblon Seleçao Verde, the French Oak Aged Reserva Especial, and Çedilla Açai Liquor. His leadership and execution of efficient sales operations positioned the brand for acquisition, and Leblon was successfully acquired by Bacardi in 2016.
Upon completion of his transitional management responsibilities with Bacardi USA, Mr. Haro returned home to Altamar Brands where he continues to serve the industry’s most dynamic portfolio of Spirits as the National Director of Sales.
